one lifetime
Coming soon to Spotify and beyond
One Lifetime is my first official release as a solo artist, although I plan to continue writing and recording with LA-based band, VETTE. I wrote the song One Lifetime after experiencing the full freedom of the forgiveness of Jesus for the first time in my life. Just after this experience, I had the opportunity to visit and serve at a church ministry in Bihar, India. I met people across the world that had experienced the same freedom because of Jesus that I had--now I want to use this song to encourage them. I'm inviting you to join me!
The first $1,000 raised through the sale of this song with be given directly toward the building of a worship building for a group of Christians from the Musahar people group in Bihar, India. The Musahars are from the poorest and lowest caste in society, known as the Dalits, or "untouchables". Our funds will go toward building materials; the actual construction of the worship building will be done by the local church and local workers. Once completed, the worship building will be used by the church for prayer meetings, Sunday services, Bible classes, and daily school tutoring for Dalit children--among other empowering community activities. It will ensure that they have a consistent and safe place to meet, out of the rain and the blistering heat. This building will be an amazing tool that will help them have a greater impact in their own community. Let's honor and encourage these people on the other side of the world together!
This project is in partnership with Bihar Christian Church (BCC). BCC is a strategic church planting and Christian leadership training ministry in Patna, Bihar, India. They have planted over 230 churches and have 80 full time staff members. BCC also runs two Bible schools to train men and women in evangelism and church planting. Every year, they train about 30 women and 20 men for full time ministry work in these schools. Since visiting BCC in India in 2011, I have had an ongoing working relationship with the founder of BCC, Pastor Srinivasan Devasahayam Ponraj (SD Ponraj). We worked together professionally through the years that I was a full time church staff member in global missions. Now, I am looking for new ways to support the work of BCC in Bihar. Once funds are raised, I am looking forward to posting updates on the progress of the worship building. It will be a great story to share!
Any dollars earned from the sale of One Lifetime beyond the first $1,000 will go toward covering the cost of recording One Lifetime and toward future recording projects.
Thank you so much for your joining in! Visit this site and my Instagram feed for updates on the project!
